The ATH board of directors has the duty to establish and maintain the compelling vision, direction and strategy for the company in delivery and enhancement of long term sustainable value for its shareholders.

The Board has 7 Non-Executive Directors comprising of 4 'Strategic Investor Directors' and 3 'Fiji Directors'.

The  'Strategic Investor Directors' are appointed by the FNPF as majority Shareholder and 'Strategic Investor'. The 'Fiji Directors' are elected by other shareholders at the AGM.

The current Directors are:

 

Mr Ajith Kodagoda - Chairman

Mr Kodagoda was appointed the new ATH chairperson after the Mr Taito Waqa completed his tenure as ATH chair in August of 2010.

Mr Kodagoda is a chartered accountant who holds an MBA and brings with him a very wide and rich professional training and experiences in accounting, finance and investment both overseas and locally.

Mr Arun Narsey

Mr Narsey is a practising chartered accountant who gained wide experience in the profession both locally and overseas.  He worked for the international firms (KPMG and Ernst and Young) in Fiji, Vanuatu and Australia for a period spanning 16 years.

Since 1994 he has been practising as “A M Narsey & Co, Chartered Accountants” providing a full range of professional accounting and business advisory services to a niche set of clients engaged in diversified businesses.

He is an honorary auditor of several organisations and also serves on various boards.




Mr David Kolitagane

Mr David Kolitagane is the current Deputy Secretary for Finance (Corporate Services and Finance), appointed in March 2010. He was a former Chief Economist in the Budget Division with an oversight role of the Economic Policy Analysis Unit. He has been with the Ministry of Finance for 12 years.

Mr Kolitagane holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and Management and Public Administration from the University of the South Pacific and a Master of Arts Degree specializing in Policy Management and International Development from the University of Tsukuba, Japan.

Mr Tom Ricketts

Mr Tom Ricketts was appointed to the ATH Board in August 2009.  He also currently serves as Chairman of Telecom Fiji Limited and Home Finance Company Limited and is also a Board Member of Fiji National Provident Fund and the Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji.

He was a banker by profession and has worked for the Bank of New South Wales later known as Westpac and Colonial Bank in Suva.  He also worked for Mobil Oil.

Mr Ricketts was also a Senator in the Upper House in 2006 and Minister for Industry, Tourism, Trade and Communications in 2008.

Mr Umarji Musa

Umarji Musa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a number of professional credentials.          

He joined Fiji Development Bank in 1974 and retired in 2010 after serving 36 years.   He has had a distinguished career, having held the position of General Manager in the Bank’s Lending Operations for 21 consecutive years prior to his retirement.

Umarji was appointed as an ATH Director in August 2010 and brings across extensive experience in Banking, Financial Analysis, Project Finance, Agricultural Credit and managing large scale, complex and diverse projects.

Currently, he practises as an independent Business and Finance Consultant and also serves on a number of Boards.       

 

Mr Taito Waqa

Mr Waqa was appointed to the ATH Board in August 2008.

He is the Permanent Secretary for Labour, Industrial Relations and Employment and has served in the Civil Service for 32 years.

Mr Waqa holds a Bachelor of Engineering Mechanical, Post Graduate Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, Master of Science (OHS – Occupational Hygiene) and Master in Business Administration.

The  Acting General Manager/Company Secretary is Mr Ivan Fong.

Mr Fong carries over 16 years of wide experience in the telecommunications industry and holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) and MBA (Technology Management) Degrees.
